Asseeva Elena - Graphic Artist, Books Illustrator, Designer. Holds Ph.D. in Art History & Criticism (St. Petersburg, 2002), Member of the Union of Professional Designers of Russia since 2001. Graduate of St. Petersburg University of Humanities and Social Sciences (Art History) and Kuban State University (Industrial Graphics & Design), Research Associate in Harvard University (Davis Center of Russian and Eurasian Studies, 2001-2003), winner of several grants of George Soros’ Center of Contemporary Arts (St.Petersburg) and participant of numerous exhibitions and art-projects in Russia and abroad. Personal Exhibitions in Russia: “To Memory of Sea-Gull” (2000), “Books of Sand” (2001), “New New England” (2002), several performances.
